How A Squared Got Started
A Squared Billing Solutions was founded by Amanda Hulme and Mandi Killian — two billing professionals who saw firsthand how much a practice's financial health depends on the people managing its revenue cycle. With backgrounds spanning clinical billing, accounts receivable management, and healthcare finance, they built A Squared on a simple belief: practices deserve a billing partner that treats their revenue with the same care they give their patients.

Amanda brings 11 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management and medical billing, with specialized expertise in dermatology and behavioral health, including psychology-related billing services. Her extensive background includes claims processing, payer reimbursement requirements, accounts receivable management, denial resolution, payment posting, and day-to-day revenue cycle operations. Her specialty-specific experience provides valuable insight into the complexities of medical necessity requirements, documentation standards, insurance guidelines, and reimbursement challenges. Throughout her career, Amanda has developed a hands-on understanding of billing workflows, claim accuracy, payer-specific policies, and the importance of timely follow-up. Her operational knowledge allows her to identify inefficiencies, troubleshoot reimbursement issues, and help healthcare practices maintain consistent, organized billing processes. With a strong focus on leadership, client relationships, and operational accountability, Amanda believes successful revenue cycle management requires more than processing claims. Mandi Killian
Co-Founder & CFO
Mandi brings 14 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management and medical billing, with extensive knowledge of medical coding, reimbursement processes, and financial operations. Her specialized experience includes hospitalist medicine, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), acute care, cardiology, vascular medicine, neurology, pain management, and dermatology. Her background includes managing complex billing and reimbursement challenges associated with hospital-based providers, skilled nursing facilities, and specialty medical practices. Her experience spans medical coding, payer reimbursement, accounts receivable management, denial resolution, and revenue cycle operations across multiple healthcare settings. Beyond medical billing, Mandi brings a strong financial management background, including revenue reconciliation, financial reporting, expense analysis, cash flow monitoring, and operational performance evaluation. Her ability to connect revenue cycle performance with a practice's overall financial health provides a comprehensive perspective on healthcare financial operations. With a commitment to ethical billing and regulatory awareness, Mandi emphasizes accurate coding practices, payer-specific requirements, identifying potential compliance concerns, and improving operational processes.
